Services Australia Will pay eligible carers the Child Disability Assistance Payment between 3 July and 2 August 2024.
Youâll get Child Disability Assistance Payment if you get Carer Allowance for a child younger than 16 for a period that includes 1 July 2024.
You donât need to do anything to get this payment. If youâre eligible, weâll pay it straight into your bank account between 3 July and 2 August 2024.
To get this payment, you need to be getting Carer Allowance for a child younger than 16 for a period that includes 1 July.
If you get Carer Allowance for a person between 16 and 18 years old who has a terminal illness youâll get this payment.
You canât get Child Disability Assistance Payment if you only have a Carer Allowance Health Care Card.
You can get up to $1,000 each year for each child who qualifies you for Carer Allowance.
If youâre getting Carer Allowance, you can get this payment for each eligible child. For example, if you get Carer Allowance for 2 children, youâll get 2 payments.
You donât need to claim for Child Disability Assistance Payment. If youâre eligible, weâll pay it straight into your bank account.
If you havenât got Child Disability Assistance Payment by early August and you think youâre eligible, you can follow these steps:
- Sign in to myGov.
- Select Payments and claims, followed by Manage payments and My payments and check to see if weâve paid you.
- Check the bank account details you told us are correct.
